In 1973, Kweichow Moutai Factory established Scientific Research Room.

Scientific Research Room completed the feasibility reasoning and promotion of the technique of stainless large container liquor, and improved the production technique of Moutai.

In 1983, the Technical Center successfully developed 39% (v/v) Kweichow Moutai.

In 1986, the Technical Center improved and launched 39% (v/v) Kweichow Moutai (adjusted it to 38% (v/v) later on), and successfully launched 43% (v/v) Kweichow Moutai on the same year

In the 1990s, the Technical Center raised the understanding and identification of microelements of Moutai to over 160, and successfully developed 33% (v/v) Kweichow Moutai.

In 1998 the Technical Center successfully developed Moutai Prince series (53% (v/v), 46% (v/v), 39% (v/v)) and Maotai Ying Bin Chiew.

In 2001, Moutai Factory made large-scale modification for the Technical Center, purchased large quantities of advanced equipment; the standard of Kweichow Moutai was listed as the national standard.
